K1 Klub House

There are many entertainment spots in Kenya, but few are as cool as the expensive clubs in Nairobi. Nairobi is busy during the day and has a nightlife that would remain memorable for anyone visiting for the first time. Ask a foreigner about the city and they will tell you that immediately after sundown, it transforms to an ideal partying hub with lots of revellers who are creating memories the best way they can.

Clubs are a dime a dozen in the city but if you want to experience the best nightlife, consider visiting these five expensive clubs in Nairobi before leaving Kenya. These are the joints where you’ll find the exact music, atmosphere and vibe that you’re looking for.

1. The Alchemist

If there is a club in Nairobi that has managed to retain the expatriate club, alongside affluent locals, it is The Alchemist. It has an interesting nocturnal compound with separate lounge place upstairs, very costly cocktails and a large dance space. This club charges entrance fees on many party nights but the crowds just keep spilling (in).

Famous cocktail bar Mulberry Project, originally from NYC, is now at The Alchemist. Here, you can create your own drink by choosing from the cocktail menu and also enjoy the bar food and a variety of food truck options. Expect to get a chill, vibrant, enthusiastic vibe here.

2. K1 Klub House

K1 Klub House is one of the most popular and expensive clubs in Nairobi. It is a foremost entertainment joint for locals, younger ex-pats and, of course, foreigners. This joint is usually packed with people at night, especially during the weekends when the dance floor heaves until morning.

If you’re a fan of live bands, then visit K1 Klub House on Tuesday since there is a jazz group which will keep you entertained throughout the night. On Thursdays, the DJ plays reggae tunes all night. If you’re not a fan of dancing, you can enjoy pool tables and watching your favourite team play in one of the big screens.

3. B Club

Another popular name on our list of expensive clubs in Nairobi is B Club. From the 8th floor to the downstairs of Galana Plaza, B Club is the coolest, most classy and well-organized club in Kenya’s capital. This ultimate destination where style meets upscale entertainment operates seven days a week and is open from 12pm to 4am.

The music played at B Club is excellent and there are shows and performances from various artists regularly. Immerse yourself in a luxurious timeout alongside some of Kenya’s big boys and slay queens.

4. Havana Bar

Once in the 2000s, Westlands was the ‘Electric Avenue’ of Nairobi with popular clubs such as Havana. Even though things have changed in recent years, the Irish-bar-ish Havana has managed to remain as an ultimate party destination.

Havana Bar is spread over two floors and serves Cuban cigars, imported wines and unique cocktails. Come prepared to dance the night away to the beats of Latin music. This classic bar with the atmosphere of a Cuban street is one of the best and expensive clubs in Nairobi to party as a foreigner.

Providing a lively meeting place for people from all walks of life, Exchange Bar is one of the best places to party in Kenya’s capital as a foreigner. It is also one of the most expensive clubs in Nairobi.
