The Soweto International Jazz Festival is an annual three-day international music and arts festival held in Soweto, South Africa with its purpose being celebrating Johannesburg together with its rich cultural nature, most of it embedded in music and arts. The jazz festival this year will be held at the GOG Lifestyle Venue, Soweto Gardens on June 14-16.

Besides music and arts, which have over the years defined Soweto International Jazz Festival, 2019’s celebration will spotlight Johannesburg’s cuisine, luxury accommodation, adventure and exploration of South Africa’s most coveted city. Soweto Theatre Complex – one of the state-of-the-art facilities in Soweto – will host indoor and outdoor spaces, workshops, vendors, artists, food and VIP events.

The complex will have three stages; one for the outdoor VIP performance while the second and the third stages will host continuous musical performances for the three days of the Festival. Soweto Gospel Choil, Lady Zamar; South Africa’s Sipho Mabuse, Emi Smith, Mi Casa and US-based renowned Jazz artist Julian Vaughn are some of the big names expected to crown 2019’s Soweto International Jazz Festival.

Tickets for the event are up for sale ranging from 0.250 USD for a single day pass, 0.552 USD for a single day VIP ticket to 193 USD for a VIP weekend ticket.
